We finally returned to Key West after 6 years and were hard pressed to find a beautiful ladies boutique (besides Blue Indigo on Duvall St). On our way to dinner at Marquesa Cafe, found this fabulous shop right across the street. Gorgeous space and Kilfa collection, as well as “guest collections”. We loved the abundance of Kilfa prints and purchased a couple of exquisite Johnny Was blouses. The owner, Anna stayed open to allow us to pick our favorites, we had walked in just before the store was closing. Anna is so nice and accommodating, and very French, I felt like I had a private concierge dresser. I’m not a petite woman and Anna found some lovely and flattering items which fit beautifully, the highlight of my day! This is one of the most gorgeous stores in Key West. It is worth visiting for both clothes and gifts (beautiful scarves, bags, jewelry as well as coverups)., I LOVE Anna, the Manager at JPK! I've found her to be very helpful & fun! I bought a beautiful, orange leather bag there that was designed by the Owner, years ago & it's held up beautifully!
As their neighbor (I own Key West Local Luxe - the jewelry store, half a block down the street), I really appreciate having them on the Fabulous 500 Block of Fleming & I LOVE it that they now, carry Johnny Was clothes, too! , I am visitor to Key West from Ireland and have just left this shop. The woman who runs this shop is the most rudest person I have ever meet. My husband and I called into the shop. My Husband sat on the sofa, that was a wrong move as she started her muttering in the corner. I was wondering around and went to look at something on a shelf and she started shouting at me saying these things were not for sale. Ok. Then a few minutes later she told us to leave as she was going to the bank and pushed us out the door. Very friendly behavior to visitors I think not. Judging by the other comments this is her normal behavior. Not nice. Beware., It was a stiffening hot day. My husband and I needed a break as we were walking back to our resort. I didn’t see anything I wanted to purchase but asked the cashier if we could sit on one of the 3 couches for 10 minutes. She said, yes. Not 30 seconds later she says that the store is closing. Then she said that we had to leave now as her boss would ask what we were doing there. We were just sitting on a couch causing no trouble. She escorted us out and shut the door promptly as we left. (I have a picture.) I have never been treated this way. Not cool. Not kind. Not going back. This occurred on 7/31/18 at about 1:15pm., I recently visited the Jean Pierre Klifa store in Naples, Florida. It’s now my favorite place to shop. The clothes are well made with beautiful prints. I purchased a jacket and returned a few days later for another jacket and a dress. Susy the manager is great. JLK will be our first stop when we return to Naples. Can’t wait! You can also purchase online.
