Lightner Museum

Save this for the rainy afternoon, and you'll have one. The Lightner is a Gilded Age hotel packed with Tiffany glass and genuinely strange Victorian collections, and it's much more fun to walk through than "museum" suggests. Flagler College across the street was the other grand hotel, and the dining hall full of Tiffany windows is honestly stunning. Call the college before you go — their tour schedule has been unpredictable while they've been renovating.

Henry Flagler's 1888 Hotel Alcazar, now filled with Gilded Age furniture, glass and oddities. The old indoor swimming pool is worth the visit on its own. Open daily until 5, last entry at 4.
