All the reviewers here are miserable. They complain that employees are sitting down, or not “leaving much of an impression” whatever that means. They’re doing their JOB and they’re doing it well. This place is awesome. Some of the best thrift finds I’ve ever found, so well decorated and the fitting rooms were colorful and spacious with flowers on the mirrors. Every piece here is so unique and awesome!! The employees were nice and genuine, I’m pretty sure half of the complaints here are from homophobes. Literally the best thrift store I’ve ever been to. Not to mention, the prices were awesome. We went to the goodwill across the street and everything was 20+ dollars. This place, an actual consignment shop, managed to be cheaper than anything in that goodwill. I found the cutest Y2K fairy style purple and pink dress for 10 dollars, which would’ve undoubtedly been 16-20 something at the store next door. So glad I found this place a week before my birthday, because they have a birthday discount with ID! Anyways, ignore the miserable people in this thread. they have no actual problems with the business and overestimate how much gravity it takes for the world to revolve around you. Go here. This is the best thrift store I’ve ever found, Nice, trendy thrift/consignment store. I would recommend taking a look at the variety of clothing and accessories they offer. The prices can be a bit expensive, but I think there are some really good deals! It was clean and organized as well, which can be difficult to find in clothing stores. Would recommend!, I love this place! they have a lot of good vintage and the prices are much more reasonable compared to other vintage shops around Orlando. their graphic tee selection is really nice!! they also have a cute section with a bunch of crochet wristlets, keychains, pins, patches, stickers, and hair accessories! The employees were very nice and the store has a really cute aesthetic!, I can't get a sense of this store. It's branded as hippie/eclectic/vintage, but in reality I found the store to be a mixture of fast fashion cast-offs like Wal-Mart, Target, and Forever 21. Those items were marked up nearly as high as they would have been bought new ($16-20). Their vintage section was sadly mostly washed-out cotton, static-y 80's polyester, and several wool sweaters that had met an unfortunate fate in someone's dryer and were frankly ruined.
As an avid thrift, consignment, and vintage customer, I can only encourage you to seek solace from your deep disappointment in the Goodwill Boutique across the street. It has lower prices, far more quality brands and fabrics, and 3x the products to choose from., Despite the promising reputation of Avalon Exchange, my recent visit left much to be desired. Upon entering, I was not greeted or made to feel welcome. Instead, I observed one employee comfortably seated while their coworker handled all the work, despite the store being open for just 30 minutes. This lack of acknowledgment and teamwork was disappointing. Furthermore, I encountered discrepancies between their online luxury buying policy and what was communicated in-store, leading to confusion and frustration. Despite the clean and inviting atmosphere, the overall experience was soured by the lack of a welcoming atmosphere and poor customer service. For these reasons, I can only rate Avalon Exchange one star.
