La Mar, a high-end Peruvian restaurant, offers an exceptional brunch experience that is well worth its $135 per person. From the moment you step in, the ambiance sets the stage for a delightful culinary journey.
The brunch menu is extensive, featuring a diverse array of dishes that highlight the rich flavors and ingredients of Peruvian cuisine. Each dish is crafted with precision and creativity, offering a true taste of Peru. The variety ensures there is something to please every palate, making it a perfect spot for food enthusiasts.
One of the standout features of the brunch at La Mar is the selection of free-flowing cocktails. The pisco sours are particularly noteworthy, expertly balanced and refreshing. They are a perfect complement to the flavorful dishes and add an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience.
While the savory offerings are outstanding, the desserts are a bit of a letdown. They lack the same wow factor as the rest of the menu, but this minor flaw does not overshadow the overall excellence of the brunch.
In summary, La Mar provides an amazing brunch experience with a plethora of delicious food options and exceptional cocktails. Despite the underwhelming desserts, it remains a top choice for those looking to indulge in high-quality Peruvian cuisine., La Mar restaurant is a great place for a date night for sure 💕The atmosphere is great and romantic. The sunset gets blocked by the buildings but the colors of the sunset sky and the night view are gorgeous! The staff was great too, really nice, attentive and eager to help with any questions. The food however was not what I expected, especially at those prices. We had a group of 3 and ordered 1 appetizer and 3 main courses. The appetizer was good but the other 3 were too salty. The cocktails were also just regular. Overall I enjoyed my visit, I’m glad I was invited here and got to experience the place! I would definitely like to come back for the view, atmosphere and give the menu another try, maybe we just had a bad cooking day., Fantastic in every aspect! The vibe was great, kind of loud but enjoyable. The waiter helped us pick our dishes, I'm very indecisive so I always need a nudge and lean on the waiter for help. He recommended two fabulous dishes for our main course. The flavors on all of our dishes we had were top notch and I think the best meals that me and my husband have ever had!! I was very skeptical because I didn't know what to get and I'm working on expanding my palette. I was blown away by the flavor and presentation of each dish. Every item was carefully crafted and pieced together. There is patio seating with great views of Miami--I highly recommend La Mar and hope to be back on a future trip to Miami!, Came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were seated in a more private and calm section. No view though but we were able to enjoy our caffeine free espresso Martini’s with a view outside.
Our server was Argentinian and helped us navigate the menu. Thanks to her we chose dishes that showed the diverse flavor profile of their cuisine. Every dish was uniquely presented and very flavorful., The restaurant has a good location in the Mandarin Oriental hotel , waterfront position which gives you good views of city line. The outdoor furniture is outdated and uncomfortable. The service was good , staff attentive and trying their best to satisfy the customers. For the $135 per person for brunch, honestly i didn’t find much quality food except 2 kind of sushi and the ceviche. The hot buffet is really below what i expected from a reputable hotel like this. The main courses nothing much to choose from and the desserts looked nicely presented but again absolutely nothing special to worth the price paid. Overall , not much impressed and atmosphere was zero ! Definitely it will not be a next time here….
