We were in Miami from Boston and ate dinner here twice. Food was SUPER good. Since my hubby is 🇵🇷 he was so excited to have authentic food. Servers were nice and price for Miami was SOOOO reasonable. Highly recommend you visit. The only downside was the AC wasn't working the best., The food is okay. Was disappointed with the mofongo. It’s really dense and dry, couldn’t eat much of it. Didn’t have much flavour although I don’t know if it was executed poorly or if that’s just the way it is suppose to be. Beef empanadas were dry. Plantain sandwich also dry. The best item was definitely the short rib, if Id have it with the mixed rice (that was really good). The rib was super tender and flavourful - fell off the bone. Soup was good too. One big thing is it is INSANELY hot. We were dying, sweating like crazy…, Everything was amazing! Every bite reminded me of my little island Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 Services was amazing. Special thanks to Julio for being so attentive and making the best mojito and coffee. Could not have picked a better place to celebrate my birthday than Mofongo’s! If you are reading this, don't hesitate, go check them out!, Food, service, atmosphere, all exceptional! Portion sizes are huge, I couldn't finish my plate. Flavor are good and tastes just like the Puerto Rican cuisine should be experienced. Or waiter went above and beyond service expectations. Highly recommended., A little pricey- about $50pp. This is a plate of food, 2 beers,and a soda for 2 people service charge was also already included. Small tables outside. Very small restaurant inside. May not be able to accommodate large parties. Parking is a HUGE issue and may be expensive after 9pm on the weekends. Staff is helpful and always attentive. Food is authentic and VERY GOOD!
