I had a great time at American Social with my coworkers, we decided to go here after our Uber driver recommended the restaurant. There were so many things that stuck out to us on the menu and it was hard to pick what we wanted but you really can’t go wrong with any of the food that you order! I got the salmon bowl with a side of mac and cheese and I barely made a dent before I was full, the drinks were awesome as well! We made a reservation and were sat outside to overlook the river which was absolutely stunning, and not too hot! Our waitress was Kayla and she was great (even though we made her run back and forth for more drinks!) she took the time to talk to us too even though the restaurant was pretty packed., This place has a great vibe and wonderful view. The food was amazingly delicious and prices are very reasonable. The service was friendly, professional, and attentive. I will definitely be returning. If you are looking for a great place with an awesome vibe, THIS IS YOUR SPOT!, Sunday brunch with a group today was lovely! PJ was a terrific server, and I was really impressed with the balance of his attentiveness while not being intrusive. This was my first time having brunch there, but I've been a few times before for dinner and drinks. Today I had the BBQ brisket Benny, a side of broccoli and a mimosa. The flavors, service and music were all enjoyable. American Social always delivers a great view and a lively atmosphere. (The salad picture is from my dinner visit a couple weeks ago. Loved the fried goat cheese and freshness!), Loved this place! Such a nice vibe, great views and even better food! Parking available ($10 an hour) and if you show your parking receipt to the waiters they will Cover the parking garage fee! Win win! The food was delicious and the $4 mimosas were a HIT! I will definitely be visiting again when I’m in Tampa, American Social’s location is terrific, on the water on Harbor Island in downtown Tampa, next to Jackson’s and The Westin. My friends recommended the burgers, so I went with the “Smash Burger” (Mondays they have a special on burgers). The burger was great, but a little dry and they went VERY light on the sauce. Hence the 4 stars. The service is notorious for being slow, but it was otherwise ok. I look forward to going back, hopefully for a juicier burger and more sauce.
