My cousin and I came here to celebrate my birthday while I was visiting Tampa and had an amazing experience. Cole, our waiter, was amazing! So informative, attentive and polite. He listed all of the hot picks from the menu and we decided to go with the wagyu tomahawk and truffle Mac and cheese. It was absolutely delicious. We arrived around 5 pm and were able to watch the ambience become more romantic and intimate as the sun went down. Will definitely be back., My experience at Ocean Prime was truly delightful. The ambiance exuded elegance, setting the perfect tone for an exceptional dining experience. The sea bass dish I ordered was impeccably prepared and simply delicious, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and culinary expertise. Moreover, the carrot cake dessert surpassed all expectations, undoubtedly one of the best I've ever had. However, I would caution fellow diners to be mindful of the zero alcohol beer, as it actually contains 0.5% alcohol. Despite this minor oversight, my overall impression of Ocean Prime remains overwhelmingly positive, and I would eagerly return for another memorable meal., This was our first time experiencing Ocean Prime and it will not be our last! Starting off with the incredible service was so nice! Then the food & drinks just made it even better! We sat outside on the bar patio with the high top tables. Lauren was our server and she was so so great!
I had the wedge salad, deviled eggs and the twin lobster tails (with asparagus). I also had a strawberry margarita and then a raspberry margarita. They were both made with fresh fruit and were delicious! It was all superb! My husband started out with the French Onion soup and he said it was the best he has ever had! He also had the creamed spinach and ahi tuna, both of which he loved! We brought home the 10 layer carrot cake to indulge in tomorrow!
As long as you understand you are going to spend a decent amount of money, you will not be sad you went here. It was well worth the money we spent!, Absolutely phenomenal visit to this location. Was greeted warmly upon entrance into the restaurant. Our server, Kathleen was very good and I would definitely ask for her again! The martinis were fabulous. The restaurant was extremely clean. The seafood Cobb salad was amazing and fresh and full of seafood. Ambience was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant., Really great ambience and fantastic service but the food was just okay for the price. Nothing was super impressive. The side dishes, specifically the truffle Mac and cheese was a disappointment. It lacked any real truffle (they just put the submerged truffle on top, no fresh truffle, to make it look fancy) but it’s swimming with truffle oil, which was aromatic and that’s about it. The ravioli starter was delicious but a bit heavy for a starter.
The steaks were cooked perfectly but it wasn’t anything special. I’ve had better steaks at Eddie V’s. I was expecting more and left the establishment still wanting more…
