Came here with a group for something fun and different. Inside decor is modern and spacious and atmospheric and has soft lighting. Clean restaurant and large spacious bar. Greeted and seated immediately, it wasn't crowded on a later Friday evening surprisingly. Got 2 cheese fondue, some fries, steak on the side and herb chicken on the side. My two friends got drinks and my other friend got a Mac and cheese, to start with the Mac and cheese he said it was really good. The fries were also good and seasoned well. The herb chicken we got was good. But REALLY small. And the steak was the same portion but the steak didn't taste that good to me, bland. The coffee cocktail my friend got was fantastic, so was the lavender lemonade cocktail. We ended the meal with 2 chocolate fondue, which was honestly the best part of the whole meal. Great for drinks and groups and something fun to do. Portions are really small for a steep price of really simple food like pretzel sticks and marshmallows and cut up strawberries on the side to warrant the price tag, I guess you are just paying for the experience. I would totally go back. Our server was excellent I didn't catch his name but he said it was his last day he got a job at a different restaurant, good luck on his journey., Disclaimer, This is not a “normal” Melting Pot restaurant. We googled Melting Pot, and this popped up on Google Maps like the others. They are normally dark, private, intimate places but, this version, the “Social” version, is way different. The menu has regular items and the fondue is more of a per person or per couple size portion. I’m only saying it like this because we had no idea and almost left. I’m glad we stayed because everything was delicious. The waitress gladly explained the process and we enjoyed the drinks, the appetizer, and main course. I only wish we weren’t so full so we could have the chocolate fondue. Definitely try this place!!, This place has a carefully curated menu and cool sounding drinks, but the execution was so far off that it fell flat.
We were a large group, and service was good. Our tables were in the front corner and that has to be the worst place to sit, no airflow and super stuffy, making it uncomfortable. The drinks were pretty awful- we tried several different ones and they just didn’t impress.
The steak frites was the worst steak I’ve seen in a while. When it was ordered, the waiter didn’t ask how it should he cooked, which was an ominous sign; well, it came out well done with undercooked fries. Total miss.
The salmon was good, but could have been better. The sticky ribs were excellent and I highly recommend them- they are spicy though.
We ordered both cheese and chocolate fondues and those were really good. The only complaint is the fruit is now cut much smaller, so not that good. Apple slices are comically tiny and the bread doesn’t include bread chunks, which were really good. The chocolate was tasty though.
Sangria was boring, their version of a Moscow mule was horrible, but their smoky old fashioned was good- just a tad sweet.
All in all, I think they are trying hard, and it has potential/ but they missed the mark on several notes., The food was incredible! Jake was our server, and he was wonderful. We went before a show at the Straz and he timed all of our food to come out at the perfect intervals so we made it to the show. The drinks were so good. It was so nice to be able to get vegan fondue for me and my son could get his burger! I highly recommend!, Really great food. They were able to work with my allergies and let me double up on something I could eat (not all places will do this). Service was great and attentive. Prices were WAY better than other fondue places.
Will definitely be returning.
Dessert was so good we didn't think to take a picture until it was almost all gone. You can see how much we enjoyed it!
Make sure to get a reservation!!
