Servers were very friendly and definitely experienced in the food service industry. It has been quite a while since we have had seafood this good. Not taking away from the rating but the mashed potatoes were minimalistic to be kind. I was expecting the seafood to be good and wasn't disappointed in the least. I was completely amazed at the dang cornbread!, Blue Heaven restaurant was a really good experience. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but the wait was still over 30 minutes. There were a lot of shops very close to browse while you waited but these were very expensive boutiques. The place was very busy, with great live music. The service was a little slow, but our waitress was nice and attentive. The food was fantastic, and very cheap and reasonable prices compared to the rest of the island. Nice gift shop too with lots of clothes and gifts. Overall great food and worth a visit., This place is beautiful and peaceful. I wish they offer more menu options. The key west is hot. It takes a lot of energy to walk around as a tourist. My entire friend group wanted to eat protein but the only option was a burger. No poultry on the menu. No other proteins. There were like 6 items on the lunch menu. They were pricy. But the quality was excellent. Their bread was made in house and fresh! Drinks weren’t strong. Couldn’t taste alcohol in them. I felt like I paid for expensive juice. Lastly, the key lime pie was miss as well. Too much meringue on top and super sour. Needed a whip cream on top for the balance but all I tasted was the egg with citrus., A really awesome find (not exactly a local secret). The place is the epitome of what you want in a Key West breakfast spot. A cozy, free-spirited, informal vibe with any artsy flare, the atmosphere is chill and friendly. Sometimes local music quietly fills the courtyard, and you almost feel like any table next to you already has your friends sitting there. The food is ridiculous - over the top creations, and even the “boring” regular options are made with excellence. Service was fast and pleasant, and the perfect way to end our brief stay on the island., It has the coolest island vibes.
We road our bikes from our hotel and parked them right outside.
Went just for the key lime pie! We sat up at the bar. Blonde bartender with braids was so nice and friendly. Very bubbly personality and highly recommend.
The key lime pie was a lot thicker than I expected it to be. I was hoping it would be more fluffy but the key lime and crust part was my favorite.
