My sister and I came mid day for some cocktails and foo. I ordered a classic rum runner and she got a blackberry margarita. Appetizers was conch and she ordered a single crab cake for 18. Entrees were a party melt and the nasty Alfredo um the meat is separate. Anyways it could have been better great place for cocktails and some family fun just don’t get the Alfredo., This place was nice! The music and atmosphere were great! The patio and deck overlook a Marina. Drinks and food were good as well! Our server was nice as well. She was very busy but between her and the food runners we were taken care of. Pictured: Lobster Mac n Cheese, Skippers Dockside Restaurant located in Key Largo, Florida is awesome. The atmosphere is great and so is the live entertainment and the food. The location was perfect. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Resort in Key Largo so that meant that we didn’t have to even start our vehicle for three straight days. Nor did we need to take a taxi. It’s located just behind the Holiday Inn Resort and we were allowed to charge our bill to our room which made it extremely easy. We highly recommended this restaurant. We can’t wait to eat here again. And their Key Lime Pie is good also., Sunday evening - It took forever for our 2 cocktails to arrive. Outside seating was very nice. 6 kids were entertained with outside games and nice kid menus. One meal arrived.... eventually the other 7 came out. Refills for kids was slow and 30 minutes for my daughter's 2nd cocktail. Granddaughters meal came with a long hair. Everyone ate and all our dirty dishes stayed on the table while we waited for the replacement meal. It was supposed to be comped but it was on the bill. After a disagreement with a supervisor the manager apologized for the dirty table and food. He discounted our meal and we left. I don't know if we'll be back in Key Largo but I would probably sit at the bar and enjoy a cocktail and an appetizer. Live music 🎶 was very special., I’m not a seafood lover, so I really appreciated the many dishes Skippers offered that weren’t seafood. I wanted something light & tasty & their charred avocado salad hit the spot! It was SO GOOD!! I almost inhaled it lol. My husband wasn’t hungry, but after seeing me devour my salad & ranting & raving about it, he ordered one himself. I loved it so much we went back to Skippers the next day for lunch. That day I had the smash burger with BBQ sauce, grilled onions & bacon with truffle fries. It was also good…but the salad was the BEST! My husband ordered a fish dish & enjoyed it as well. If you’re in Key Largo & you aren’t a fan of seafood, this is your best bet & the atmosphere was awesome as well!
