The Roost is pretty good, a tad on the expensive side for the overall food experience, however. The service is very good, bordering on a bit too much, but on the spot. Sitting outside is the best. It can be a smidge warm, but when the breeze is blowing, it's great. The wahoo fish dip is the best, by far. I could eat that and nothing else and be in heaven. My dorado was outstanding. The Greek salad it came on was a little weak. Too much dressing and not enough accouterments like feta and olives. I'm not big on crab cakes, but these were tasty. Nice job overall. My biggest disappointment was with the drinks 🍸 🥃🍷. Weak. Based on this experience, I would never order another cocktail here. This is definitely a must try in Key Largo. Great venue, outstanding service and good food. Give it a go!, Tasty food and attentive service. We went on a slow, rainy summer night, and the place was empty. The staff were helpful and courteous, and I can only hope it would be the same at a busier time. The conch chowder was great, and the burger was fine, but the fries were excellent. My only negative comment is that it was exceptionally dark in the restaurant. I had to get my phone out to read the menu., This was an awesome find using Google Maps. Not real touristy but a favorite of the locals. The food here is great but the service is outstanding. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. The have some unique menu items so ask your server about the "must have" options. These are the dishes that are most popular here. There is plenty of free parking around the building, The lunch was very tasty, and I enjoyed the seafood sampler, though I expected a bit more ceviche. However, it was just the right flavor and very delicious. The person who served us was very kind. Outside, they have an area for dining al fresco with fans., If you’re looking for great food, a wonderful atmosphere, and awesome service- here it is. My wife and I are so glad we found this true gem (thank you to the previous comments). There are waitresses and there are people who truly have a special gift, Melissa was so genuine, wasn’t friendly for the sake of a good tip- but was just being who she is. Loved the experience here and highly recommend. Thank you! 😊
