Always enjoy our meals at Maxine’s! Great atmosphere and service! The owners are usually at the restaurant and always make time to come over to your table and chat. Was just recently there for the Bite 30 and the menu and food was excellent!! We had the Curry Shrimp and Skillet Chicken Parmesan. The Salted Carmel Cheesecake was decadent and I highly recommend it!, Let's start off by saying the greeter/host set a very happy and pleasant mood. The food was good but a bit on the hefty side price wise. It's understandable though and if you support small local businesses, just pay it. Drinks were good but same issue pricing wise. Atmosphere was very eclectic with a strong sense of family. Outside patio area is spacious. Overall I would go back eventually., This place is awesome. Much better than all the touristy places on International drive. We drove an 1 1/2 to get here and it was well worth it. We loved the alternative vibe of the staff and the location. The service and food are both excellent. We didn’t get to meet Maxine this time, but “Mr. Maxine” did take the time to come out and greet us, he seem d very authentic person that really loved what him and his wife are doing here. He had planned to take a photo with him out front and left before that could happen, BUT once he noticed we had gone he walked a block away to find us getting into our car to make sure we got a photo with him and to thank us. It was an awesome experience. My wife and I have eat at well over 400 places in the last few years and do not come back to the same place very often, this is a location that I we plan to come back to :) these guys are doing so many things right that you have to love it. For a really good experience I would plan to spend somewhere in the $30-$50 per person for brunch., I’ve never had a bad meal @maxinesonshine ! This one also did not disappoint. I always during #bite30 to enjoy meals that aren’t on the regular menu. Thee Meatlaof was SO good and the mashed potatoes were icing on the cake. The seafood chowder was hearty and the Kahlua Mousse was fantastic! Everyone I’ve taken always has a fantastic time. My mom enjoyed her shrimp curry. She’d never had curry before and loved it. Go before they take a 2 week break., We went here for Sunday brunch in the private dining room. This place is a must to visit in Orlando. We loved the food, ambience and the staff. We even were told by the server that we can have our cake and eat it too, where they gave our party complimentary champagne with a liquor as we were celebrating a birthday 🎈🎂. We also love that is locally owned by a husband and wife team. Awesome restaurant and a must try.
