I had a BEAUTIFUL experience from start to finish in this restaurant. Maegan the Manager was awesome, she was able to accommodate in short notice for a party of 15 people for my Birthday celebration, she was kind and had lovely gestures with me knowing my best friend had recently passed away. The food was delish! Drinks on point! We all enjoyed of beautiful view of the lake. Helena our server was the best, very nice and funny. Thank you Helena and Maegan for making me, and my guests feel like home! You guys made my bday celebration even more special with your great attention and customer service. Until next time! 🥂💕, Was so hyped up to visit this place, and was left feeling kind of so-so. The reason I primarily wasn’t happy was the service. My server waited a long time to even greet me and then when he did, I asked him a question about a drink he never brought it back then when he finally came back like 10 minutes later, I said, where is the drink and he said oh I thought you were just asking me about it…What???? Anyway, his service continues to be slow and he was not attentive during the night. It was Valentine’s Day so the restaurant was packed but before it got packed, he still wasn’t paying me any attention. My friend loved the grill octopus. I thought it was OK. I had the pork chop. I did enjoy that. I also enjoyed the espresso martinis. They had a charcuterie board. It was pretty decent, but I’ve had better. All in all we spent almost $300 and I just thought I would’ve walked away feeling much more satisfied and yet there was nothing that I was like I have to come back here again to try., My best friend was in town and decided to go to brunch and pick this place last minute. Love the ambiance of the place and the view is amazing. The service is really good and the food is delicious. Would definitely come back for the drinks because they’re top tier. Definitely recommend, We came here after a low key courthouse elopement to celebrate with our families. I had been emailing with Zoe, the food and Bev manager and she was very responsive and accommodating. She made planning a breeze. Everyone was so impressed with dinner and they loved their food. I cannot emphasise how much their time and communication with us leading up to the event was valued. Sometimes with the allergies in our party, it’s tough to find somewhere that is able to accommodate and I really appreciated the staffs’ attention to detail and their knowledge about the menu. They were able to accommodate gluten free and low fodmap diets. Also literally everything we ordered was delicious. I also loved how one of the staff brought us out a little extra bowl of caper berries to try after my father in law insisted that everyone at the table try one from the charcuterie platter.
The view was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing and I’m so glad we chose Russell’s to celebrate our special night with our family., My wife and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary at a local restaurant that we hadn’t been to before. We decided to try Russell’s.
We loved it!
We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation so we could get a drink at the bar. We went on a Monday so the place was pretty quiet which worked out great for us.
The bartender greeted us and was very nice. We ordered two happy hour cocktails and the chef special happy hour app that he suggested. It happened to be bacon wrapped scallops this evening and they were amazing! The cocktails we decided on were the House Pineapple Old Fashioned and the Lavender Lemonade. They were both delicious and the presentation was great!
Before we got sat my wife ordered happy hour Sauvignon Blanc, which she paired with the appetizer and I did the Russell’s Sidecar. We enjoyed those selections as well. I unfortunately forgot to get a pick of the appetizer but it looked just as amazing as it tasted.
When we were sat we ordered the Table Side Caesar for Two. Our server was excellent and the salad we nice and crisp. We had a hard time deciding on the entrees because they all sounded amazing. After much thought my wife went with the lamb chops. They were good but not exactly what she was expecting. I was between the “Best Burger in Orlando” burger and the Crispy Chicken Kiev. The server talked me into the chicken and she was right! It may have been one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had. I also think that is why my wife ended up being a little disappointed by her lamb. She tried mine and her jaw literally dropped. Haha. We paired our dinner with a bottle of the Petite Sirah from Lodi. We love Petite Sirah and will drink anything from Lodi, California. It was “Old Vines” Rowdy Bush and we would highly recommend it.
We were stuffed so we declined dessert but we will be back! I recommend coming on a slow night and making the reservation around sunset so you can get a seat by the window.
Can’t recommend this place enough!
