Love this place to pieces. I grew up on that pier catching fish. It’s now my place of tranquility during dawn. So beautiful out there and it has a splash pad for water fun!, Love the pier. Splash pad could be better but when it's working it cools the kids off so can't complain I suppose. Bathrooms are awful. Never have soap!! The fishing pier is worth the drive. We've caught plenty of fish there, and it's a good time especially at night., Decent amount of parking and plenty of space to sit, eat, fish and just chill. The boardwalk/pier is quite lengthy so there's a lot of space for everyone to get around without feeling squished. Offers very beautiful views of downtown Tampa Bay of course as well! And the best part is that it's free!, Took the kids here while visiting FL. We wanted to try our luck magnet fishing. We didn't find anything other than an old fishing hook, but non the less the kids were excited. We spent some time in the playground area, which was great for playing tag. Before we left, we walked through the Splash pad area. If it was a little hotter, it would have been better, but it didn't stop the kids. Nice little park with plenty of free parking !!, Beautiful park, great play area for the kids but wish it had better shade. The shades are not put up to cover the playground. It gets extremely hot on the metal so at peek hours a lot of kids aren’t playing. Wish the splash pad had shade as well & not sure why they took out the benches around the sides. Bit disappointing.
