The Plant Museum is a beautifully kept piece of history that gives you a little taste of Tampa history. The museum has reserved a small portion of the massive Plant estate and has thousands of original pieces of art and history. The rest of the building has been allocated to the University of Tampa but you are still allowed to walk around and look. There is also a small park to walk through and enjoy the sun. Would have loved if Tampa preserved the entire building but unfortunately we only have a tiny part of what could have been kept., Great value for the price of admission and just the right size not to take too much time to view all the different rooms and exhibits. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable., The Christmas trees at the Henry Plant Museum at the University of Tampa are a festive spectacle! The history of this hotel is a tremendous piece of Tampa history. Everything was well preserved in a beautiful section of the building. I have been fortunate to be able to visit., Great piece of American history! The museum is a small portion of the building. So go in understanding that this is a very small museum. It is reasonably priced and they do well fitting a lot of historic pieces into a small area. The architecture is beautiful. The video was 14 minutes and really informative, while it is outdated I can understand why they wouldn't update it. As you go through the rooms, there are numbers to hear the guided tour. Each number is usually 40 seconds to 1 minute. They do a great job with the upkeep of everything, and the workers were all very nice.
