Wow!! What a great company!!! I live near Tampa but we love to go downtown. We went downtown and bought tickets for this Pirate Water Taxi. It was absolutely awesome!
It's much more than just a hop on off service. It is very nicely narrated. We learned tons about a place we only thought we knew all about. Their boats were very clean and appeared to be well maintained.
What really made it though believe it or not were the employees!!!!! They were amazing! Both the captains and the first mates were fantastic.. They all introduced themselves and answered questions and were extremely nice!!!! Honestly that was not what we expected. Customer service and friendliness are definitely lost arts.
Well done Pirate Water Taxi.. We will definitely be back!!!!!, We live in Tampa but hadn't visited Water Street since they built it up so we did a staycation and spent the weekend there. The Pirate Water Taxi was on our list of to do's and we had a good time.
There are two different paths you can take, the River route and the island route. The island takes you out to Tampa Bay and by Bayshore and the River take you along Riverwalk.
They serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks on most boats. It was interesting as they told you about the history or facts of things along the way.
The captain and crew of both boats we went on were fun and funny. Florida residents get a discount (not sure if that's all the time or not) if you buy your ticket online. The ticket process was very simple. I'd certainly go on it again!!
SN: the River boats seem to have AC on the back of the boats the island ones did not., As a Tampa Bay resident, I went on the sunset cruise the first weekend in May. The cruise was relaxing and we saw a fantastic sunset as we listened to tunes and enjoyed our beverages. It was awesome seeing Tampa lit up at night after the sun went down as well. The crew was very helpful and kind. It was a great way to end the week., Very relaxing way to see downtown Tampa. The crews were courteous. Great way to learn about the attractions!, We had such a fun time. I definitely recommend the sunset cruise for you and your partner. The champagne toast was absolutely fantastic. It truly showcases the most beautiful parts of Tampa Bay. Who wouldn’t want to cruise through the bay at Sunset?
