What a beautiful place! The beach is really pretty and while the pier is not open due to hurricane damage, it doesn't take away from the beauty of the area. There are lots of shells and if you walk north, it's a lot less crowded. Parking is a challenge - took us awhile but we eventually got a spot in the paid lot across the street from the entrance. Definitely get there early if you want parking. The restrooms are also clean - big win., Beautiful beach! Pay to park 2 blocks down 2 hours for 10 dollars, pay with card on phone. We stayed for the sunset, wonderful view. Clean beach and restrooms, we went around 6 pm so many people left but many com8ng for the sunset. Water was very refreshing. The pier is still shut down from Hurricane ian, so we did not get to walk the pier. I got some great photos. Weather is 82* in April 2024., We simply love coming back to this fabulous place whenever we are back in Naples to visit our son from the UK! It's beautiful, clean, safe and all around one of the best things to do in Naples, specially for nature watching at the late part of the afternoon, when the lights are breathtaking! Better yet to bring a blanket and a drink in a plastic case (no glass bottles are allowed in the beach) and enjoy it peacefully!, A very pleasant place. There are beautiful sunsets here. A lot of people come and applaud the last rays of the sun, it's very nice., So, we did the "Miami Vice" thing and drove through the Florida Everglades from Miami, top down in our convertible, listening to Phil Collins and looking like grim Tubbs and Crocket figures. It was a blast! And you get to know that the Everglades are a wasteland, full of crocks and tons of flies, but not much else. Reaching Naples and the late afternoon is a joy! This small west-facing city must be a pensioners' heaven. There are so many fishing boats in the canals, the palm-covered coves of green-lawn buildings, palm trees and many off-site and no-access gate communities. Naples Pier is sitting pretty, facing some 200m straight out west into the Mexican Gulf. The beach is wide, orange-yellow this time of day and full of families, dogs, friends and parties playing in the later afternoon sun. Some hobby fishermen believe they own the "US-right" to use up all the pier for their fishing gear, but we managed to get the infamous sunset shots anyhow! It's a beautiful spot for sunsets – there's nothing else much to do here, but it's great!
