Stopped in at the cabana club in Key Largo. Enjoy the beer and conversation with the locals very cool place on the water big nighttime bar. Lots of history with the movie Key Largo starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall., 5 star dive bar with a casual Keys atmosphere. The Humphrey Bogart movie "Key Largo" was filmed in part here and the movie posters and Bogie statues pay tribute to that past, but they are not stuck in the past. Modern drinks, cool live music and fantastic sunset views will keep you coming back long after the nostalgia angle loses its fascination. Bring cash because they don't take credit cards and be sure to try the key lime rum punch!, Being vintage movie buffs, we had to stop in at the Caribbean Club while visiting Key Largo. This bar / restaurant is an Iconic stop, as it is one of the locations used in the Bogart and Bacall Film "Key Largo". It offered a very fun, casual and open atmosphere as the bar was opened up to the Gulf side of the island with beautiful views of the Blackwater Sound. A great place to take in a sunset and a fun stop for the nostalgia if nothing else..., Went to the Caribbean Club before Christmas for the boat parade and fireworks display. There was a good view in the large outdoor area out back where there was also a band playing, which was very good. I don't think they serve food, but there was a food truck at the time I was there. You had to go inside of the bar for drinks and the prices seemed reasonable. Unfortunately, many patrons just left their garbage all over as opposed to tossing it out. No reflection on the venue, but it was a giant mess. The bartenders inside were working as hard and fast as they could with the large crowd, but staff and space are both very limited. It's an old, very small place with a crazy amount of people yelling. The bathroom is a single stall and very, very dirty with a super long line. I might go again if the weather permits spending time outside., Average place, average male bartender, Smokey bar BUT the outside on the sand, on the water and live music was great!! Sorry but we did not eat - so we can’t comment on that.
