I am genuinely in awe at the number of 5-star reviews for Jet Ski Rental Funwaves Watersports. My experience was far from satisfactory. Be very careful when dealing with this company as they have a strict zero refund policy. I booked a 3-hour jet ski rental for $450, expecting an exciting adventure. However, my experience was quite the opposite. The staff at the front desk were extremely rude and unhelpful, which set a negative tone from the start. Once I finally got on the boat and reached the jet skis, I was shocked to find out that the area they allow you to ride in is extremely small—less than the size of a baseball field. This severely limited the experience and became monotonous after just 40 minutes. I left soon after, feeling like I had wasted $450. This place is nothing more than a tourist trap. I hope someone reads this review and avoids making the same mistake I did., One of the most exhilarating experiences I've ever had. I definitely want to go again-- I truly felt like an action hero in a movie while riding the jet ski 😂 Firstly, it was very easy to find the staff members. They gave us clear directions and met us right along the harbor. Clear communication, no issues. Once boarded, we took about a 20-minute boat ride to our destination, the "playground". This ride itself was exciting and a good warm-up for the jet skiing. They provided us with cold drinking water and let us play with their cute doggy Toby 😁 The captain clearly explained how to jet ski and the rules to abide by. They were very simple and easy to follow -- no confusion whatsoever. Riding itself was mind-blowingly fun-- if you haven't been before, you NEED to! I will be recommending to all my friends. Anyone can do it-- no special skills or prior experience needed. Our jet skis were high quality and durable. We were able to go up to 50 mph with no issues. There's also a small secure compartment to keep your phone and other valuables in, with no fear of losing them., Had an amazing boat tour and Jet Ski experience with Ivan & Andy!! Kudos for being super accommodating when my party was late. They also took beautiful photos of us so we didn't have to risk getting our phones wet while in the water. I will be booking with them again when I come back to Miami - Thank youuu!! 💕, Thank you so Much guys for everything Super nice crew The way to the jet ski station is on a small boat which was so far as well You see beautiful houses and it is just fun Efren and Andy was super nice all the way Efren took videos of use during the jet ski time Thank you guys for making our day amazing, This was a completely disappointing experience from start to finish. First of all, the location is wrong. It is no where near Miami Beach and you have to drive or taxi 25-30 min to get to the pick-up location. There is no actual signage when you’re dropped off, only a small tent for Captain Joe’s Boat Club. The staff was uncommunicative and rude and upon being told about final payment, no cards are accepted and I had to Venmo a completely different company the balance (seawolf Jetski rental). The area we were allowed to ride in was also incredibly small and very congested with other Jetski and boat traffic making the ability to enjoy the scenery or pick up any sort of speed relatively impossible. And we only had 45 minutes on the water before being ordered to return. All in all, don’t waste your time or money here. It is nothing at all like advertised.
