Robbie’s was recommended by several people as we were staying in the keys. It did not disappoint! It was a large place with lots to explore like shopping, dining, and feeding the tarpon. Very unique experience.
Everything is outdoor, but they did have several fans running through all the covered shops. It was very hot and crowded though. It’s a bit of a maze to get to the feeding area. There are no directions so you’re kind of on your own to figure it out. They do warn to not feed the pelicans. A lot of the dock is open with people feeding right off the dock. I did not like that as both the pelicans and tarpon were going crazy. If you went to the end of the dock, there were netted areas with holes for feeding. That was more practical for feeding with kids. We were also surprised to see several large nurse sharks coming to feed., Robbie’s of Islamorada is a must-visit destination in the Florida Keys! Known for the world-famous tarpon feeding, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. Watching and feeding the tarpons was thrilling, and to our surprise, we even spotted a shark swimming among the tarpon fish—truly an unforgettable sight! You will feel a mini heart attack as the tarpons leap out of the water to grab the bait, but it definitely deserves a try.
Aside from the exciting tarpon feeding, Robbie’s offers a range of other activities and attractions. The atmosphere is vibrant and the staff is friendly and helpful. It’s the perfect stop to soak in the unique charm of the Keys. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!, Kayaking was great. We saw a bunch of jellyfish, x3 manatees, crabs, and many other colorful fish. The mangroves were so neat and it was so nice to paddle in the shade they provided. Comfortable seats and nice staff. Not my best photo but gives you an idea of the kayaking environment. There’s also the typical open water but I thought this was a really original part of it.
We also fed the fish which was a ton of fun. I’ve never done anything like this. Cheap and quick, was really entertaining to watch people of all ages get excited/nervous about doing it.
The entire property is worth visiting. We sat by the beach in chairs for awhile while the rest of our party finished up on the jet skis. Beautiful views, opportunity for shade or sun., **A Visit to Remember at Robbie's of Islamorada**
