Jimi was an outstanding guide! With deep knowledge of wild life, he was able to guide me through the St John’s river in a unique way. I’ve learned about birds, plants and crocodiles, helping me to understand and connect with nature. If you like to learn during in a outdoor environment, that’s a must go tour (Manatee Kayak Tour at Blue Springs State Park). Thank you Jimi, It was a awesome morning!, Splendiferous Adventure for seven days in the Okefenokee Swamp of Georgia with guides Greg and Bill who provided the historical context, information about the wildlife, the plants, and the trees along with a healthy dose of humor. Each day was filled with surprises; abundant bird life, peat canals, alligators river otters, bark scorpions (found by using an ultra violet flashlight at night on the slash pines), red berried holly shrubs tupelo trees draped in their red fruits, barred owls serenading each other and us throughout the night. Our main guide, Greg Pflug, was excellent at accommodating all participants’ needs whether it was his home made ginger cookies as a snack or steadying the kayak for a paddler to get in….or out plus his culinary skills provided us with delicious, NOT your normal camp food, meals. Can’t wait to go on another excursion with Adventures in Florida., OMG!! Jimi was an amazing tour guide!! He was so fun to be with on the water! The tour was amazing!! From the jellyfish to the gator, dolphins and fish that put on a show!!! He had so much information about the bio tour, but also all things nature and wildlife! We will definitely be back and next time, we’ll bring more people!!! We had a small group and had so much fun together! Thanks, too, Erica, for catching the fish in your boat!! Too funny!! But suck a great time! Great birthday fun!!! Thank you, Adventures in Florida and especially to Jimi!!!! Sunset wasn’t so bad either!!, Great tour. Small group (maybe 8 + guide) and beautiful day. Went in mid-March to a manatee tour, only saw one after our tour and we drove into the state park so that was a bit sad but we saw a few gators and tons turtles and cool birds. I would recommend going earlier in winter while they are more active in the spring, or call to see what the numbers are like before booking. The three hours flew by but started to feel tiring towards the end. Nice mini-kayak instruction before we got into either tandem or some kayaks so perfect for newbies and more experienced people. Moved at a good pace where you never really felt behind if you were moving slower. Guy was very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. Great tour overall., Scheduled a kayaking tour for a family of 6 with Greg who was extremely responsive and accommodating for our specific needs as my wife utilizes a wheelchair. He was great in getting everything scheduled and answered all our questions and concerns. The actual trip we did with Astrid who was absolutely fantastic! 4 out of group of 6 had never been on a kayak before and she was patient with them while they navigated their way through the Wekiva River. She was able to take some fantastic pictures and provides them to you via Google Drive. We saw gators, turtles, plenty of birds, and we were fortunate enough to see a mama Manatee and her baby! It was a truly wild experience and would highly recommend booking this tour!
